Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "To whom did Ayyub turn in his pain?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Ayyub stay patient for so long?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 41. The key word nusb means tiredness and hardship. Ayyub was a prophet who lost his health, wealth and family for a long time. Yet he never complained against Allah. He called out politely, describing his pain, and waited with patience. His story teaches us how to speak to Allah when we are hurting.

Fact: Which surah also mentions Ayyub's du'a about the harm that touched him?

Ages 5–8: Get-well card. Make a card for someone who is ill and add a du'a for them.

Ages 9–12: Polite du'a. Write a short du'a in your own words for a time you feel unwell.
