Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can a statue eat the food put in front of it?"
Watch the Stories of the Prophets video Prophet Ibrahim and the Fire, Part 2. Play the first few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Ibrahim ask the idols?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Ibrahim talk to statues?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 91. The key word ta'kulun means you eat. His people had left food in front of their idols. Ibrahim asked them to eat, knowing they could not. It was a clever way of showing that idols cannot do anything at all, not even the simplest thing living creatures do.
