4-I guide
He turned to his Lord with a heart that was pure and sound.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What makes a heart healthy, inside and out?"
Watch the Jannah Institute video What Is Qalbun Saleem, the Sound Heart?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of heart did Ibrahim bring to Allah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I keep my heart pure?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 84. The key words qalb salim mean a sound, healthy heart. A sound heart is free from shirk, jealousy, hatred and pride. Our physical heart pumps blood; our spiritual heart holds faith and feelings. We keep it healthy with remembrance, kindness and asking forgiveness.
Fact: About how many times does a child's heart beat in one minute?
Ages 5–8: Heart beat. Feel your heartbeat, then talk about keeping your inner heart healthy too.
Ages 9–12: Heart cleaner. List three things that make the heart unhealthy and three that heal it.
Finish with: "I found that it beats about ___ times a minute."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will clear one bad feeling from my heart by forgiving someone."
Action: Clear one bad feeling from your heart by forgiving someone.
