So when both of them had given themselves up to Allah, and he had laid the boy down on his brow,
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to trust Allah completely?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did both father and son do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How could they trust Allah so much?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 103. The key word aslama means they submitted, the same root as Islam. Father and son both showed total trust in Allah. The ayah stops at that moment of trust, and the next ayah brings Allah's call. Their story shows that submitting to Allah leads to His mercy.

Ages 5–8: Trust picture. Draw a father and son holding hands and smiling, trusting Allah.
Ages 9–12: Root words. Find three words from the root s-l-m and write their meanings.
