Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does a tree store energy?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 80. The key word al-akhdar means green. Green leaves catch sunlight and store its energy in wood. When that wood burns, the stored energy comes out as heat and light. This is a sign to ponder: from something green and full of water, Allah brings fire. Bringing life back is no harder for Him.

Ages 5–8: Leaf in the sun. Cover part of a leaf with foil for a few days and see how it changes.

Ages 9–12: Energy chain. Draw the chain from sun to leaf to wood to heat.
