وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۢ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
Wa mā ta''tīhim mmin' 'āyatin mmin' 'āyāti rabbihim' 'illā kānū ʻan'hā muʻ'riḍīna
Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom.

Whenever a sign from their Lord comes to them, they turn away from it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What signs of Allah did you see on the way here?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do these people do with signs?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I notice more signs?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 46. The key word mu'ridin means turning away. Signs are everywhere: a seed, a cloud, a heartbeat. But if we rush past without thinking, we miss them. Slowing down to notice is a habit we can practise.
Fact: About how many breaths does a person take in one minute at rest?
Ages 5–8: Sign walk. Take a slow walk and collect five signs of Allah, like a leaf or a stone.
Ages 9–12: Breath check. Count your breaths for a minute sitting still, then after jumping.
Finish with: "I found that I took ___ breaths in a minute."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stop once a day to notice one sign of Allah."
Action: Stop once a day to notice one sign of Allah.
