أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُۥ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمًۭا قَدِيرًۭا
How to read it
'Awalam' yassīrū fī l-'ar'ḍi fayanẓurū kay'fa kāna ʻāqibatu -lladhīna min qab'lihim' wakānū 'ashadda min'hum' quwatan . wamā kāna -llahu liyuʻ'jizahu min shay''in fī ssamāwāti walā fī l-'ar'ḍi . 'innahu kāna ʻalīman qadīran
Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them,- though they were superior to them in strength? Nor is Allah to be frustrated by anything whatever in the heavens or on earth: for He is All-Knowing. All-Powerful.
