قُل لَّكُم مِّيعَادُ يَوْمٍۢ لَّا تَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ عَنْهُ سَاعَةًۭ وَلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
Qul llakum mmīʻādu yaw'min llā tas'ta''khirūna ʻan'hu sāʻatan walā tas'taq'dimūna
Say: "The appointment to you is for a Day, which ye cannot put back for an hour nor put forward."

That Day has a fixed time that no one can push back or bring forward by even an hour.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can you stop a clock by wishing?"
Watch the truthflash video of Al-Afasy reciting Surat Saba, verses 1 to 23.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Can the Day be moved?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can't anyone change the time?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Saba is surah 34. Find ayah 30. The key word mi'ad means a fixed appointment. Some things in life can be moved, like a dentist visit. But the Day Allah has set cannot move by a single hour. This reminds us to treat our time as precious.
Fact: How many minutes are there in a whole day?
Ages 5–8: Fixed times. Make a chart of the five prayer times today and notice they move with the sun, not with our wishes.
Ages 9–12: Minute maths. Work out how many minutes you spend each day on screens, play, study and prayer.
Finish with: "I found that a day has ___ minutes."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use ten spare minutes each day for something good."
Action: Use ten spare minutes each day for something good.
