4-I guide
Believers are told to be mindful of Allah and to speak straight, truthful words.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to say something straight?"
Watch the Nouman Ali Khan khutbah The Right Words. Play the first few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of words should we say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can my words be straight?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 70. The key words qawlan sadida mean straight, sound words. Like an arrow that flies straight to its target, good words are honest, clear and right. They do not twist the truth, mislead or hurt unfairly.
Fact: What does the Arabic word sadid mean when used for an arrow?
Ages 5–8: Straight arrow. Throw a paper dart at a target and talk about words that hit the right point.
Ages 9–12: Straight talk. Rewrite three twisted or unclear sentences into straight, honest ones.
Finish with: "I found that sadid means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say what I mean clearly and honestly."
Action: Say what you mean clearly and honestly.
