رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَٱلْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًۭا كَبِيرًۭا
Rabbanā 'ātihim' ḍiʻ'fay'ni mina l-ʻadhābi wal-ʻan'hum' laʻ'nan kabīran

The followers will ask Allah to double their leaders' punishment, but blaming others will not help them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Does blaming someone else fix our own mistakes?"
Hear Sheikh Shuraim recite the closing ayat of Al-Ahzab, shared by Al-Huda Productions.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do the followers ask for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it important to own my choices?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 68. The key word di'fayn means double. The followers now angrily blame their leaders. But each person is responsible for their own choices. Owning our mistakes and fixing them now is far better than blaming others later.
Fact: Which prophet and his wife said, after their mistake, that they had wronged themselves, instead of blaming anyone?
Ages 5–8: Own it. Practise saying "I made a mistake, I'm sorry, I'll fix it."
Ages 9–12: Responsibility. Write about a mistake you owned and how it felt afterwards.
Finish with: "I found that it was ___ and his wife."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will own one mistake and fix it."
Action: Own one mistake and fix it.
