Start with bismillah.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What choice were the Prophet's wives given?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did the Prophet live so simply?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 28. The key word zinatuha means its glitter or decoration. The Prophet's home was very simple. His wives were given an honest, free choice between worldly comfort and life with him. The ayah teaches that faith is a free choice, and that partings, if they happen, should be kind and generous.

Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-'Ankabut says this worldly life is only play and amusement?

Ages 5–8: Simple and happy. Spend an hour playing only with simple things, like boxes, sticks and paper.

Ages 9–12: Glitter or gold. Make two lists: things that shine for a short time and things that last forever.

Finish with: "I found that it is ayah ___ of Al-'Ankabut."

Talk together:

• Why can a simple life still be a happy one?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What glitters but does not last?
• Why is it important that faith is a free choice?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will give away one thing I do not really need."

• Give away something extra.
• Play simple and happy.
• Share glitter or gold.
• Next time: the next ayah (33:29) tells what they chose. Explore it together!
