Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What had this group done?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do treaties matter?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 26. The key word sayasihim means their fortresses. A tribe in Madinah, the Banu Qurayzah, had a treaty with the Muslims but secretly supported the attackers during the siege. Afterwards they were brought down from their fortresses, and the matter was judged. This is a historical event. The lasting lesson for us is to honour agreements and be trustworthy neighbours.

Ages 5–8: Good neighbour. Do one kind thing for a neighbour today.

Ages 9–12: Keeping agreements. Write why agreements between neighbours and nations matter.
