4-I guide
After Adam, Allah made his children grow from something very tiny and humble.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can you guess how tiny every person is at the start?"
Watch the Windows of Islam video The Three Dark Stages of the Baby in the Womb.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How do we begin?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does something so small grow into a person?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Sajdah is surah 32. Find ayah 8. The key word mahin means humble or small. Every person starts out far tinier than a full stop on this page, then grows inside their mother. A sign to ponder: from that humble start, Allah forms bones, a beating heart and a thinking mind. Remembering this keeps us humble and grateful.
Fact: Roughly how many bones does a newborn baby have?
Ages 5–8: Tiny to big. Line up objects from the smallest to the biggest and talk about how we grow.
Ages 9–12: Growth chart. Find your height at birth and now, and work out how much you have grown.
Finish with: "I found that a newborn has about ___ bones."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank my mother for caring for me."
Action: Thank your mother for caring for you.
