وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْفَتْحُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
How to read it
Wa yaqūlūna matā hādhā l-fat'ḥu 'in kuntum' ṣādiqīna
They say: "When will this decision be, if ye are telling the truth?"

The disbelievers mockingly asked when the promised victory and decision would come.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do people sometimes mock what they do not believe?"
Listen to The Meaning of Islam recitation of Surah As-Sajdah with Arabic and English.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How should I answer people who mock?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Sajdah is surah 32. Find ayah 28. The key word al-fath means the opening, victory or decision. The disbelievers mocked the believers, asking when their promised victory would come. Years later, Makkah was opened peacefully. Allah's promises come at their right time.
Fact: Which surah is named Al-Fath, the Victory?
Ages 5–8: Waiting game. Plant a fast-growing seed and wait patiently for it to sprout.
Ages 9–12: Promise kept. Write how Allah's promise of victory came true for the believers.
Finish with: "I found that Al-Fath is surah number ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stay calm if someone teases me about my faith."
Action: Stay calm if someone teases you about your faith.
