وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ تَنتَشِرُونَ
Wa min' 'āyātihī 'an' khalaqakum mmin turābin thumma 'idhā 'antum basharun tantashirūna
Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then,- behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!

One of Allah's signs is that He created us from dust, and now we are people spread all over the earth.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How many countries can you name?"
Watch the Seeds of Iman song One Big Ummah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were we created from?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did one family become so many people?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rum is surah 30. Find ayah 20. This ayah begins a famous series: wa min ayatihi, and among His signs. The first sign is us: made from dust, yet now billions of people spreading across every continent. From one humble beginning, Allah created all of humanity.
Fact: On how many continents do people live?
Ages 5–8: Dust to people. Draw a pinch of dust at one end of a page and many people around the world at the other end.
Ages 9–12: Spread map. On a world map, mark where your family's ancestors came from.
Finish with: "I found that people live on ___ continents."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn about the place my grandparents came from."
Action: Learn about the place your grandparents came from.
