۞ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنطَارٍۢ يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَارٍۢ لَّا يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ إِلَيْكَ إِلَّا مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَآئِمًۭا ۗ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِى ٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ سَبِيلٌۭ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
How to read it
wamin' 'ah'li l-kitābi man' 'in ta''man'hu biqinṭārin yu'addihī 'ilay'ka wamin'hum mman' 'in ta''man'hu bidīnārin llā yu'addihī 'ilay'ka 'illā mā dum'ta ʻalay'hi qā'iman . dhālika bi'annahum' qālū lay'sa ʻalay'nā fī l-'ummiyyīna sabīlun wayaqūlūna ʻalā-llahi l-kadhiba wahum' yaʻ'lamūna
Among the People of the Book are some who, if entrusted with a hoard of gold, will (readily) pay it back; others, who, if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding, because, they say, "there is no call on us (to keep faith) with these ignorant (Pagans)." but they tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it.
