قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةًۭ ۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًۭا ۗ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ كَثِيرًۭا وَسَبِّحْ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِبْكَٰرِ
How to read it
Qāla rabbi (i)j'ʻal llī 'āyatan . qāla 'āyatuka 'allā tukallima nnāssa thalāthata 'ayyāmin 'illā ram'zan . wa-dh'kur rrabbaka kathīran wassabbiḥ' bil-ʻashiyyi wal-'ib'kāri
He said: "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning."
