ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامًۭا مَّعْدُودَٰتٍۢ ۖ وَغَرَّهُمْ فِى دِينِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
Dhālika bi'annahum' qālū lan tamassanā nnāru 'illā 'ayyāman mmaʻ'dūdātin . wagharrahum' fī dīnihim mmā kānū yaf'tarūna
This because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days": For their forgeries deceive them as to their own religion.

They claimed the Fire would touch them only for a few days, and the things they made up about their religion fooled them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is it safe to believe something comforting that isn't true?"
Play the short clip from CoranMajid FR of Islam Sobhi reciting ayat 23–32 of Ali 'Imran.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they claim?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people believe comforting lies?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 24. Some thought belonging to a group made them safe whatever they did. This ayah mentions, in one calm line, that this was a made-up belief. Only faith and deeds count.
Fact: A mirage looks like water in the desert but is only light playing tricks.
Ages 5–8: Mirage. Look at pictures of a mirage and talk about false comfort.
Ages 9–12: False safety. Write why we shouldn't rely on made-up beliefs.
Finish with: "A mirage looks like ___ but isn't."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will check if something I believe comes from the Qur'an."
Action: Check if something you believe comes from the Qur'an.
