ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Alladhīna yaqūlūna rabbanā 'innanā 'āmannā fa-gh'fir' lanā dhunūbanā waqinā ʻadhāba nnāri
(Namely), those who say: "Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire;"-

The mindful pray: our Lord, we believe, so forgive our sins and protect us from the Fire.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do believers keep asking forgiveness?"
a reciter recites Ali 'Imran on Tadabbur Centre. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do they ask for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why begin with 'we believe'?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 16. This du'a starts with faith, then asks forgiveness and protection. It's a model of how to ask Allah.
Fact: Many du'as in the Qur'an begin with 'Rabbana', meaning 'Our Lord'.
Ages 5–8: Rabbana. Count the du'as starting with Rabbana that you know.
Ages 9–12: Du'a steps. Write the steps in this du'a.
Finish with: "Rabbana means Our ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will start my du'a with Rabbana."
Action: Start your du'a with Rabbana.
