قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌۭ فَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Qad' khalat' min qab'likum' sunanun fassīrū fī l-'ar'ḍi fa-nẓurū kay'fa kāna ʻāqibatu l-mukadhdhibīna
Many were the Ways of Life that have passed away before you: travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who rejected Truth.

Many ways of life have passed before you, so travel through the land and see what happened to those who denied the truth.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What can old ruins teach us?"
Play the short Ali 'Imran clip of ayat 131–140 from pondok lukman.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should we do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the Qur'an say travel and see?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 137. History is full of lessons. Seeing ruins of great nations reminds us that only truth lasts.
Fact: The ruins of Mada'in Salih, where Thamud lived, still stand in Arabia.
Ages 5–8: History trip. Visit a museum or look at old pictures.
Ages 9–12: Lessons. Write one lesson from history.
Finish with: "Travel and ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn about one ancient place mentioned in the Qur'an."
Action: Learn about one ancient place mentioned in the Qur'an.
