Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What do you hold onto when the path is slippery?"

Play the short Ali 'Imran clip of ayah 101 from Ummah Muslim.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who was among them?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does holding firmly to Allah mean?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 101. The Companions had the Qur'an and the Prophet with them. We still have the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Holding firmly to Allah keeps us on the straight path.

Fact: I'tisam means holding on tightly, like gripping a rope.

Ages 5–8: Grip test. Hold a rope tightly and talk about holding to Allah.

Ages 9–12: Holding firm. Write two ways to hold firmly to Allah.

Finish with: "Whoever holds firmly to Allah is ___."
