Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is the one thing we should not obey?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I be kind to parents always?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Ankabut is surah 29. Find ayah 8. The key word husna means goodness. Being good to parents is a command from Allah. The one limit is worship: no one, not even parents, can make us worship others besides Allah. Even then, we stay kind and respectful.

Ages 5–8: Helper day. Do three helpful jobs for your parents without being asked.

Ages 9–12: Kind words. Write five kind phrases to use with parents, especially when you disagree.
