Yuʻadhdhibu man yashā'u wayar'ḥamu man yashā'u . wa'ilay'hi tuq'labūna
"He punishes whom He pleases, and He grants Mercy to whom He pleases, and towards Him are ye turned.

Allah punishes whom He wills and shows mercy to whom He wills, and everyone will return to Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does it feel to be treated with mercy when you made a mistake?"
Choose SimpleQuran's Maher Al-Muaiqly video and follow the English lines.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where will everyone return?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I hope for Allah's mercy?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Ankabut is surah 29. Find ayah 21. The key word yarham means He has mercy. Allah's decisions are always wise and fair. His mercy is vast, and those who turn to Him sincerely find it. Everyone, without exception, returns to Him.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-A'raf says Allah's mercy encompasses all things?
Ages 5–8: Mercy drawing. Draw a big umbrella of mercy covering people.
Ages 9–12: Asking for mercy. Write a short dua asking Allah for His mercy.
Finish with: "I found that it is ayah ___ of Al-A'raf."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask Allah for mercy and show mercy to someone."
Action: Ask Allah for mercy and show mercy to someone.
