وَمِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa min rraḥ'matihī jaʻala lakumu -llay'la wa nnahāra litas'kunū fīhi walitab'taghū min faḍ'lihī walaʻallakum' tash'kurūna
It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you Night and Day,- that ye may rest therein, and that ye may seek of his Grace;- and in order that ye may be grateful.

From His mercy He made night and day so you can rest, seek His bounty and be thankful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do in the day, and what do you do at night?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are night and day for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I use my day well?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 73. The key words li-taskunu fihi wa li-tabtaghu min fadlihi mean to rest in it and seek His bounty. Night is for rest; day is for work, learning and helping. Both are mercy. Gratitude means using them well.
Fact: How many hours of daylight are there on the longest day of the year where you live?
Ages 5–8: Day and night chart. Draw what you do in the day and at night.
Ages 9–12: Time well spent. Write a daily plan with time for rest, learning and helping.
Finish with: "I found the longest day has ___ hours of daylight."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will plan my day with time to learn, help and rest."
Action: Plan your day with time to learn, help and rest.
