فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Faʻamiyat' ʻalay'himu l-'an[m]bā'u yaw'ma'idhin fahum' lā yatassā'alūna
Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other.

That Day all excuses will be blotted out for them, and they will not even be able to ask one another.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever forgotten what to say?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happens to their excuses?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why will they not ask each other?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 66. The key word fa-'amiyat means it became blind, hidden. On that Day, excuses vanish. Everyone is busy with their own account. That is why preparing now matters, and Allah opens the door of hope in the next ayah.
Fact: Which surah says, in ayah 34, that on that Day a person will flee from their own brother?
Ages 5–8: Prepare now. Pack a pretend bag for a trip with good deeds inside.
Ages 9–12: Ready answers. Write what good deeds you hope to bring to Allah.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one deed I'd love to show Allah."
Action: Do one deed you'd love to show Allah.
