28:58Al-Qasas
Juz 20 · Page 392وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍۭ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ فَتِلْكَ مَسَٰكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا ۖ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
How to read it
Wa kam' 'ah'lak'nā min qar'yatin baṭirat' maʻīshatahā . fatil'ka massākinuhum' lam' tus'kan mmin[m] baʻ'dihim' 'illā qalīlan . wakunnā naḥ'nu l-wārithīna
And how many populations We destroyed, which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! now those habitations of theirs, after them, are deserted,- All but a (miserable) few! and We are their heirs!
