قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِىٓ أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ
Qāla nakkirū lahā ʻar'shahā nanẓur' 'atah'tadī 'am' takūnu mina -lladhīna lā yah'tadūna
He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance."

Sulayman ordered her throne to be altered so it was hard to recognise, to see whether she would be guided.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Could you recognise your own bag if it looked a little different?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why was the throne changed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What was Sulayman testing?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 41. The key word nakkiru means disguise, make unfamiliar. Sulayman wanted to test the queen's mind. Would she notice? Would she think clearly? Guidance often begins with careful thinking.
Fact: What is camouflage, and which animal is famous for it?
Ages 5–8: Spot the difference. Find five differences between two pictures.
Ages 9–12: Careful thinking. Write how careful noticing can lead to the truth.
