Surah An-Naml opens with ta and sin, and says these are ayat of the Quran, a Book that makes things plain.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What can a tiny ant teach a powerful king?"
Mufti Abdur-Rahman Mangera gives a tafsir of Surah An-Naml on ZamZamAcademy. Play the first few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two letters open the surah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is a whole surah named after the ant?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27, and it has ninety-three ayat. An-Naml means the ants. The name comes from ayah 18, where an ant warns the others as Sulayman's army comes near. The surah tells about Musa, Sulayman, the Queen of Saba, Salih and Lut, and asks again and again who but Allah could do such things.
Fact: About how many ants can live in one large colony?
Ages 5–8: Ant spotting. Look for ants outside and watch where they go.
Ages 9–12: Surah cast. List the prophets and creatures that appear in this surah.
Finish with: "I found that one colony can hold about ___ ants."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will watch ants for five minutes and notice how they work."
Action: Watch ants for five minutes and notice how they work.
