Lut said that he strongly disliked what they were doing.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can we dislike a wrong action and still care about people?"
The full upload is long. On Door to Deen, Ali Al-Huthaifi recites Ash-Shu'ara; listen closely.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Lut say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Did Lut hate the people or their deeds?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 168. The key word al-qalin means those who strongly dislike. Lut said he detested their deeds, not that he hated them as people. Disliking wrong while caring for people is the way of the prophets.
Fact: What does the Arabic word qalin mean?
Ages 5–8: Action, not person. Talk about disliking a bad action but still caring for the person.
Ages 9–12: Hate the deed. Write the difference between hating a deed and a person.
Finish with: "I found qalin means ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will separate a person from their mistake in my mind."
Action: Separate a person from their mistake in your mind.
