فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Fa'akhadhahumu l-ʻadhābu . 'inna fī dhālika la'āyatan . wamā kāna 'ak'tharuhum mmu''minīna
But the Penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

Ask: "What lesson does Thamud's story teach?"
The full upload is long. On Ahmad Nurudeen, Abdullah Al-Matrood recites Ash-Shu'ara; listen closely.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happened to Thamud?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What is the sign in their story?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 158. The key word fa-akhadhahum means it seized them. One calm line: Thamud's punishment came after they broke the agreement. Their empty rock homes remain as a sign.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Hud says a mighty blast seized the wrongdoers of Thamud?
Ages 5–8: Silent valley. Draw Thamud's empty rock homes under a quiet sky.
