Salih warned them not to follow the orders of those who go to excess.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is following wasteful people dangerous?"

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 151. The key word al-musrifin means the extravagant, those who go too far. Thamud's leaders wasted and overdid everything. Following them led to ruin. Choose leaders who are balanced and good.
