لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًۭا وَٰحِدًۭا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًۭا كَثِيرًۭا
Llā tad'ʻū l-yaw'ma thubūran wāḥidan wa-d'ʻū thubūran kathīran
"This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!"

They are told that one cry for ruin will not help, for their regret will be many times over.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is it better to fix a mistake early?"
Keep this one short. Al-Minshawi reads Surah Al-Furqan here, uploaded by Quranic Recitations.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are they told?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the Quran tell us this now and not later?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Furqan is surah 25. Find ayah 14. The key word kathiran means many. Regret then has no end, so the warning comes now, while there is still time to turn back. Allah warns because He is merciful.
Fact: What is the next ayah of Al-Furqan about, right after these warnings?
Ages 5–8: Fix it early. Mop a small spill before it spreads.
Ages 9–12: Mercy in warnings. Write why a warning given early is a kindness.
Finish with: "I found the next ayah talks about ___."
Talk together:
