Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the ayah say is better?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah make things easier for older people?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 60. Allah makes a rule easier for older women. Still, keeping modest is better. Allah hears and knows all. Ask an ustaz or ustazah about the details. The lesson for children: Allah cares for elders, and so should we.

Ages 5–8: Help an elder. Do one helpful thing for a grandparent or older neighbour.

Ages 9–12: Elder interview. Ask an elder about their childhood and write it down.

Finish with: "I found olive trees can live ___ years."

Talk together:

• How can you honour elders?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why does Allah make some rules easier?
• What can you learn from elders?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will help ___ (which elder)."

• Tell someone about Allah's care for elders.
