Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Why does a swimming pool have a fence around it?"

Hear the opening of Surah An-Nur from the official channel of Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi. A few minutes is enough.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who does this ayah say should be serious about Allah's rules?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do Allah's rules keep families safe?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 2. Marriage is a promise Allah protects. This ayah names a serious penalty for breaking that protection. It is never for ordinary people to carry out: only a proper Islamic court could, with very strict conditions. For children, the lesson is that Allah cares about keeping families safe and clean. Any questions about the details are for your teacher or an ustaz or ustazah.

Ages 5–8: Fence drawing. Draw a garden with a fence around it and talk about what the fence keeps safe.

Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep one family rule ___ (which) even when no one is watching."

• Show a younger sibling your fence drawing and explain what fences protect.
• Write down one question for your teacher.
