وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa huwa -lladhī 'ansha'a lakumu ssam'ʻa wal-'ab'ṣāra wal-'af''idata . qalīlan mmā tash'kurūna
It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give!

Allah gave you hearing, sight and hearts to understand, yet how little you thank Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Which sense would you miss most?"
Play a few minutes of Ali Jaber on QuranicLight.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which three gifts are named?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I thank Allah with my senses?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mu'minun is surah 23. Find ayah 78. A sign to ponder: our ears, eyes and minds work together every second. The ayah ends gently: we thank so little. Thanking means using these gifts well.
Fact: How many different sounds can human ears tell apart? Find an estimate.
Ages 5–8: Sense walk. Name five things you hear, see and feel.
Ages 9–12: Senses at work. Draw how the ear or eye sends signals to the brain.
Finish with: "I found we can tell ___ sounds apart."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah for one sense each day."
Action: Thank Allah for one sense each day.
