فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ غُثَآءًۭ ۚ فَبُعْدًۭا لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Fa'akhadhat'humu ṣṣay'ḥatu bil-ḥaqqi fajaʻalnāhum' ghuthā'an . fabuʻ'dan llil'qaw'mi ẓẓālimīna
Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!

A mighty blast seized them fairly, and they became like dry debris swept away, so far from mercy are the wrongdoers.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to dry leaves in a stream?"
Hear a short part of Saud Ash-Shuraim's recitation on سعود الشريم.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they become like?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the Quran warn us with past nations?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mu'minun is surah 23. Find ayah 41. The key word ghutha' means dry leaves and froth carried by a flood. These people were proud and strong, yet they ended up weightless. The Quran tells this calmly, so we choose humility.
Fact: Find another surah where a nation was struck by a blast (Hud, 11:67).
Ages 5–8: Leaf boats. Float dry leaves on water and watch them drift.
Ages 9–12: Strength and pride. Write why strength without humility doesn't last.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be humble when ___."
Action: Stay humble.
