وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٌۭ
Wa huwa -lladhī 'aḥ'yākum' thumma yumītukum' thumma yuḥ'yīkum' . 'inna l-'insāna lakafūrun
It is He Who gave you life, will cause you to die, and will again give you life: Truly man is a most ungrateful creature!

Allah gave you life, will make you die, then will give you life again, yet people are so ungrateful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What are you most thankful for today?"
Play a few minutes of Abdul Basit Abdus-Samad on Quran English Translation.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How does the ayah describe people?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people forget to be thankful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hajj is surah 22. Find ayah 66. Three stages: life, death, life again. Despite all these gifts, many people forget to thank Allah. Thankfulness is a choice we can make every day.
Fact: Find the ayah in Ibrahim that says if you're thankful, Allah gives more (14:7).
Ages 5–8: Thank-you jar. Write thank-yous to Allah on slips.
Ages 9–12: Three stages. Draw life, death and life again.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will add a thank-you slip every day."
Action: Add a thank-you slip every day.
