Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What does it mean when someone keeps changing their excuse?"

Listen together to Muhammad Al-Muqit reciting ayat 1–10, shared by Just Quran.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How many different excuses can you hear?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do excuses keep changing?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anbiya is surah 21. Find ayah 5. First they said dreams, then made up, then poetry. When excuses keep changing, it shows none of them is true. They just didn't want to accept the message.

Fact: Which surah answers the claim that the Prophet is a poet? (Try Ya-Sin 36:69.).

Ages 5–8: Spin the vane. Make a paper weather vane and see how it turns with every wind.

Ages 9–12: Steady truth. Write why truth stays the same but excuses change.

Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."

Talk together:

• Why do excuses change?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can you tell the truth?
• When have you made an excuse?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will say the truth instead of an excuse."
