بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةًۭ فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ
Bal' ta''tīhim bagh'tatan fatab'hatuhum' falā yas'taṭīʻūna raddahā walā hum' yunẓarūna
Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite.

It will come all of a sudden and stun them, and they won't be able to push it away or delay it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What things in life happen suddenly?"
Only a few minutes are needed: Ahmad Al-Ajmi recites Al-Anbiya on LISTENNN..
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How will it come?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I be ready for sudden things?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anbiya is surah 21. Find ayah 40. The Hour will come suddenly. Being ready every day is the answer, by doing good regularly.

Ages 5–8: Surprise test. Have a surprise tidy-up check. Was your room ready?
Ages 9–12: Always ready. Write a daily habit that keeps you ready.
