وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ٱلْخُلْدَ ۖ أَفَإِي۟ن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِدُونَ
Wa mā jaʻalnā libasharin mmin qab'lika l-khulda . 'afa'iyn mmitta fahumu l-khālidūna
We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently?

No human before was given endless life, so if the Prophet dies, will others live forever?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is there anyone who never grows old?"
Abdul Basit's slow, melodious Al-Anbiya is close to an hour long; a couple of minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who was given endless life?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How should knowing life ends change my day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anbiya is surah 21. Find ayah 34. Everyone, even prophets, passes away. This reminds us to use our time well and be kind while we can.
Fact: Find the ayah that says everyone on earth will pass away (Ar-Rahman 55:26).
Ages 5–8: Life stages. Draw a person from baby to old age.
Ages 9–12: Today matters. Write one good thing to do today.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one kind act each day."
Action: Do one kind act each day.
