The time when people must give account is getting close, yet many are careless and turn away.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do when you know a test is coming soon?"
This is part one of an introduction to Al-Anbiya by Nouman Ali Khan. Parents may enjoy it first, then pass on one idea.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is coming closer to people?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I stay ready instead of careless?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anbiya is surah 21. Find ayah 1. Surah Al-Anbiya means 'The Prophets'. It begins with a wake-up call: the reckoning is near, yet many people are busy and careless. The surah then tells about many prophets and how they stayed close to Allah.
Fact: How many prophets are named in Surah Al-Anbiya? Count them with your teacher as you read.
Ages 5–8: Ready list. Draw three things you do to get ready for school each morning.
Ages 9–12: Prophet list. Start a list of the prophets you meet in this surah.
Finish with: "I counted ___ prophets."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one good deed each morning to stay ready."
Action: Do one good deed each morning to stay ready.
