قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ
Qāla hiya ʻaṣāya 'atawakka'u ʻalay'hā wa'ahushshu bihā ʻalā ghanamī waliya fīhā ma'āribu 'ukh'rā
He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses."

Musa said it was his staff, which he leaned on, used to shake down leaves for his sheep, and used in other ways too.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How many uses can you think of for a stick?"
Put on Yasser Al-Dosari's Ta-Ha from The Noble Quran and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What uses does Musa name?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Musa give a long answer?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ta-Ha is surah 20. Find ayah 18. Musa answered with care: leaning, feeding his flock, and more. Some scholars say he loved talking with Allah. His staff was about to become a sign.
Fact: What do goats and sheep like to eat from trees? Find out.
Ages 5–8: Stick uses. List or act out five uses of a stick.
Ages 9–12: Shepherd. Write what a shepherd does each day.
Finish with: "I found they eat ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will feed or care for an animal or plant."
