وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌۭ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًۭا وَأَجَلٌۭ مُّسَمًّۭى
Wa law'lā kalimatun sabaqat' min rrabbika lakāna lizāman wa'ajalun mmussamman
Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their punishment) must necessarily have come; but there is a Term appointed (for respite).

Had it not been for a word already decided by Allah and a set time, punishment would have come at once.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why does Allah give people time?"
Begin Idrees Abkar's Ta-Ha on AllahSupportUs and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What has Allah set?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why doesn't Allah punish right away?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ta-Ha is surah 20. Find ayah 129. Allah gives people time to change. That delay is mercy. Every day is a chance to turn back.
Fact: Find the ayah that says Allah doesn't punish people right away for their wrongs (Fatir 35:45).
Ages 5–8: Second chances. Talk about a time someone gave you another chance.
Ages 9–12: Mercy of time. Write how time is a chance to change.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give someone a second chance."
Action: Give a second chance.
