وَقَالُوا۟ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌۢ ۚ بَل لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَقَلِيلًۭا مَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa qālū qulūbunā ghul'fun[m] . bal llaʻanahumu -llahu bikuf'rihim' faqalīlan mmā yu''minūna
They say, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word: we need no more)." Nay, Allah's curse is on them for their blasphemy: Little is it they believe.

Some said their hearts were wrapped up and closed, but in truth Allah had distanced them because of their refusal, so they believed very little.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can a heart be closed to learning?"
Settle down and play the start of a reciter's Al-Baqarah (Hafalan 5 Ayat).
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they say about their hearts?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would someone close their heart?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 88. Some claimed their hearts needed nothing more. A closed heart can't receive guidance. We keep our hearts open.
Fact: Ghulf means wrapped or covered.
Ages 5–8: Open gift. Talk about opening your heart like a gift.
Ages 9–12: Open hearts. Write how to keep your heart open to learning.
Finish with: "Keep your heart ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn something new about Islam."
Action: Learn something new about Islam.
