وَمِنْهُمْ أُمِّيُّونَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّآ أَمَانِىَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ
Wa min'hum' 'ummiyyūna lā yaʻ'lamūna l-kitāba 'illā 'amāniyya wa'in' hum' 'illā yaẓunnūna
And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture.

Some of them could not read and knew the scripture only through wishful ideas, and they only guessed.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is guessing about religion okay?"
a reciter recites Al-Baqarah on Hafalan 5 Ayat. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do they rely on?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is guessing not enough?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 78. Some knew only stories and wishes, not the real teachings. We learn our religion from real sources, not guesses.
Fact: Dhann means guessing without knowledge.
Ages 5–8: Real source. Ask a teacher one question about Islam.
Ages 9–12: Learn properly. Write why we learn from real sources.
Finish with: "Dhann means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask a teacher instead of guessing."
Action: Ask a teacher instead of guessing.
