خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبْصَٰرِهِمْ غِشَٰوَةٌۭ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ
Khatama -llahu ʻalā qulūbihim' waʻalā sam'ʻihim' . waʻalā 'ab'ṣārihim' ghishāwatun . walahum' ʻadhābun ʻaẓīmun
Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).

Because they kept refusing, Allah sealed their hearts and hearing and put a cover over their eyes, and a great punishment awaits them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens if you keep ignoring something?"
Play the short clip from QuranToYou of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 6–10 of Al-Baqarah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What was sealed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does refusing again and again close the heart?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 7. Scholars explain the seal came after people chose to refuse many times. This ayah mentions, in one calm line, their end. We keep our hearts soft by listening to the truth.
Fact: The Prophet said each wrong leaves a mark on the heart, and tawbah polishes it clean (Tirmidhi).
Ages 5–8: Soft heart. Talk about what keeps a heart soft.
Ages 9–12: Clean heart. Write how tawbah polishes the heart.
Finish with: "Tawbah ___ the heart."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say astaghfirullah before sleeping."
Action: Say astaghfirullah before sleeping.
