لَّا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا كَسَبَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌۭ
Llā yu'ākhidhukumu -llahu bi-llagh'wi fī 'ay'mānikum' walākin yu'ākhidhukum bimā kassabat' qulūbukum' . wa-llahu ghafūrun ḥalīmun
Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts; and He is Oft-forgiving, Most Forbearing.

Allah does not hold you responsible for careless words in your oaths, but for what your hearts truly intended, and He is Forgiving and Forbearing.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Does Allah count words said without thinking?"
Play the short Al-Baqarah clip of ayat 221–225 from Channel Muroja'ah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah hold us to?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does intention matter?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 225. Habits like saying 'wallahi' without meaning it aren't counted like real oaths. Intentions matter. But we still try to speak carefully.
Fact: Laghw means careless, unintended words.
Ages 5–8: Careful words. Only say wallahi when you mean it.
Ages 9–12: Intentions. Write why intentions matter to Allah.
Finish with: "Allah looks at our ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will only swear by Allah when it's serious."
Action: Only swear by Allah when it's serious.
