وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْرِى نَفْسَهُ ٱبْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ رَءُوفٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ
Wa mina nnāssi man yash'rī naf'sahu (i)b'tighā'a mar'ḍāti -llahi . wa-llahu ra'ūfun[m] bil-ʻibādi
And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah: And Allah is full of kindness to (His) devotees.

And there are some who give themselves completely, seeking Allah's pleasure, and Allah is Kind to His servants.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who would give everything for Allah?"
Madrasah Alfatiha posted a short recitation of ayat 206–210 of Al-Baqarah. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do they seek?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who was this ayah about?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 207. Suhayb ar-Rumi gave up all his wealth to migrate to the Prophet. The Prophet said: your trade has profited! Giving for Allah is never a loss.
Fact: Suhayb ar-Rumi gave all his wealth to migrate, and the Prophet said his trade had profited.
Ages 5–8: Suhayb's story. Retell how Suhayb gave up his wealth.
Ages 9–12: Best trade. Write why giving for Allah is profit.
Finish with: "Suhayb's trade ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give something I value for Allah."
Action: Give something you value for Allah.
