يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُلُوا۟ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لِلَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ
Yā'ayyuhā -lladhīna 'āmanū kulū min ṭayyibāti mā razaq'nākum' wa-sh'kurū lillahi 'in kuntum' 'iyyāhu taʻ'budūna
O ye who believe! Eat of the good things that We have provided for you, and be grateful to Allah, if it is Him ye worship.

Believers, eat from the good things Allah has provided and be grateful to Him, if it is Him you worship.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do we thank Allah for food?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to a reciter reciting Al-Baqarah, shared by NgajiBareng04.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should we be after eating?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How is eating connected to worship?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 172. Even eating can be worship: start with bismillah, eat halal, end with alhamdulillah.
Fact: Saying bismillah before eating and alhamdulillah after is sunnah.
Ages 5–8: Meal manners. Say bismillah and alhamdulillah at every meal.
Ages 9–12: Eating as worship. Write how eating becomes worship.
Finish with: "Eat and be ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say bismillah and alhamdulillah at every meal."
Action: Say bismillah and alhamdulillah at every meal.
