Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Whose coming did Ibrahim pray for?"

Hear the opening minutes of Al-Baqarah in a reciter's voice, from Hafalan 5 Ayat.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What would the messenger do?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who was the answer to this du'a?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 129. The Prophet Muhammad said 'I am the du'a of my father Ibrahim' (Ahmad). He came from Isma'il's descendants and did all these things.

Fact: The Prophet said: I am the du'a of my father Ibrahim (Ahmad).

Ages 5–8: Answered du'a. Talk about how the Prophet answered Ibrahim's du'a.

Ages 9–12: Three jobs. Write what the messenger would do.

Finish with: "The Prophet is the du'a of ___."

Talk together:

• What did they ask?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Who was the answer?
• How will you follow him?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will send salawat on the Prophet each day."

• Du'a answered.
• The Prophet teaches.
• Follow him.
• Next time: the next ayah (2:130) praises Ibrahim's way. Explore it together!
